Venustus

This is the first portrait I've made without any base sketch. I've made a few others with the method of blocking down colour (or in this case, greyscale!) to get the base shapes, then building the picture up from there.

Overall, I'm trying to improve my confidence with portraits so that I can eventually start looking at doing commissions for people, but I'm really pleased how this turned out considering it's not my normal method.

Created in Photoshop CS2 with a Wacom IntousPro. Roughly a couple of days work.
